We often use space under kitchen and bathroom sinks as a storage area. We are constantly grabbing items and shoving them back into this “storage area” not taking much care in the process. We end up accidentally banging items into the under sink pipes. As these pipes are being knocked about, they are suspect to becoming loose and springing a leak.

If you notice a pipe that is loose, usually tightening the affected area will solve your problem. In the case of more extensive damage including a hole in a piece of pipe that is causing leakage, the pipe may need to be replaced. Being aware and mindful of your under sink pipes will greatly reduce your chance of having problems.
